Liz Colasurdo, owner of Artisan Salon, has been in the beauty industry since 2006. After years of working behind the chair, she created a space that reflects what she values most; independence, collaboration, and a supportive environment for both stylists and clients. Artisan Salon is built on the idea that when everyone feels empowered, the energy in the space speaks for itself.

Liz is known for her personalized approach to hair. She takes the time to truly understand each client through a detailed consultation, focusing on lifestyle, maintenance, and individual style. She also teaches simple at-home techniques so clients can easily style their hair with minimal effort. Her work centers around effortless, low-maintenance color and haircuts that grow out beautifully and enhance natural texture.

Passionate about overall hair health, Liz emphasizes the importance of a healthy scalp, knowing that strong hair starts at the root. She is highly skilled in scalp analysis and treatments, creating customized care plans to keep both scalp and hair thriving.

Liz regularly continues her education, training with top industry brands like Arrojo, Wella, Davine,, Oribe, Moroccan Oil, Eufora, and Kevin Murphy to stay current with modern techniques and evolving trends. For Liz, hair isn’t about chasing perfection, it’s about creating something that feels authentic, wearable, and uniquely yours.

Maria first made her way into the world of beauty through fashion. She sought to hone her skills in hair/makeup under the guidance of industry master Clarissa Reyes Academy, where she dived into Bridal, Editorial, and Glam makeup artistry. This opened many doors such as participating backstage at NYFW as an apprentice for Clarissa Reyes Academy working as a makeup artist.


Maria’s expertise doesn’t end at makeup! Understanding the beauty of hair led to her obtaining her cosmetology license with Empire Beauty. Her natural talent and drive to enhance her guests natural beauty led her to working with many top salons in Westchester County. As an apprentice Maria fully dedicated herself to learn from master institutions such as ORIBE, KAO Academy, Moroccan Oil Academy,Davine’s Academy and Master of Balayage while working side by side with successful stylists igniting her skills to a higher, richer standard.


Artisan Salon feels so fortunate to have Maria as part of their collaboration of stylists. Maria focuses on providing a personal experience while making her guests feel comfortable and heard. Focusing on Lived-in Color, haircutting and styling, as well as makeup.
