Liz Colasurdo, Owner of Artisan Salon has been in the beauty industry since 2006. As owner of Artisan Salon she enjoys being a leader in a collaboration of like minded independent stylists like herself. It is important to her that everyone works seamlessly as a team bringing the best energy into the salon space. She loves to see clients and employees collaborating together to better themselves and the community. Empowering everyone around her is her number one goal, she hopes that everyone is able to live at their best potential.

 As a stylist She truly believes that everyone has their own style and there isn’t just one look that fits all. She prides herself in giving a detailed consultation before starting any service to gather information on what style and color would work best for you. Every person deserves to embrace their own style and each style tells a story. Low maintenance styling and color is her specialty, allowing your hair to flow in its natural habitat and embracing that is the best way to maintain healthy hair. 

Liz continues to advance her skills by taking part in advanced classes on a regular basis. Studying under some of today's industry leaders, such as Arrojo Academy, Wella, Joico, Oribe Pro, Eufora, and Kevin Murphy. She understands that trends are continuously changing and staying up to date on new techniques is her responsibility to her clients. Always bringing them the most current looks, Liz believes that hair should look natural and effortless. She is a true artist, and you are the canvas, with perfection being the outcome every time.

Maria first made her way into the world of beauty through fashion. She sought to hone her skills in hair/makeup under the guidance of industry master: Clarissa Reyes Academy, where she dived into Bridal, Editorial, and Glam makeup artistry. This opened many doors such as participating backstage at NYFW as an apprentice for Clarissa Reyes Academy working as a makeup artist. 

 Maria's expertise doesn’t end at makeup! Understanding the beauty of hair led to her obtaining her cosmetology license. Her natural talent and drive to enhance her guests natural beauty, led her to working with many top salons in Westchester County. As an apprentice Maria fully dedicated herself to learn from master institutions such as ORIBE, Moroccan Oil Academy and Davine’s academy while working side by side with successful stylists igniting her skills to a higher, richer standard. 

Artisan Salon feels so fortunate to have Maria as part of their collaboration of stylists. Maria is focuses on providing a personal experience while making her guests feel comfortable and heard.
